Kirkistown Circuit
Kirkistown circuit is the home of Race School Ireland. It is the only MSA Car Racing licensed circuit in Ireland offering fast sections, demanding corners and up-to-date safety requirements.
Its location on the Ards Peninsula is not only within easy reach of Belfast and the Irish Republic but the drive includes spectacular views of Strangford Lough and surrounding countryside.
Drivers and guests from further afield and overseas often take advantage of the several hotel and bed and breakfast establishments in the area, turning their Race School Ireland experience into a short break.
Our updated range of courses at Kirkistown circuit offer an imaginative blend of driving activities set at Northern Ireland's premier race circuit.
All courses now have specific arrival times allocated. This is a benefit to drivers participating on the more comprehensive introductory courses as it has significantly reduced waiting time between driving sessions.

Signifies that the race has been stopped

Yellow flag
Indicates danger on the track.

Green flag
Indicates the end of danger, track is clear.

Blue flag
Displayed to a driver about to be lapped.

Indicates that a slow-moving vehicle is on the track, also indicates one lap to go (at finish line).

Slippery track flag
Signifies that the track is slippery.

Mechanical problem flag
Displayed to warn driver of mechanical problem with car, called in pits.

Unsportsmanlike behaviour flag
Displayed as a warning to driver for unsportsmanlike behaviour on the track.

Black flag
Displayed to instruct driver back to the pits for a penalty.

Head for Newtownards A20
At Newtownards follow signs for Portaferry and continue on the A20
Pass through Kircubbin then turn left as you leave the village on the B173 signposted Kirkistown towards Cloghy
Pass through the village of Rubane
Approximately 1 mile further, Kirkistown Race Circuit is on the left just after a small cross-roads.
